Shopping

Every treasure you find in McCreary County tells a story. Here in our mountain gateway, shopping is an extension of our wild landscape and deep historical roots. Stearns and our surrounding trail communities are home to a vibrant community of makers, curators, and outfitters who carry on generations of Appalachian craftsmanship.

Whether you are looking to take home an authentic, hand-carved piece of coal heritage, browse the latest boutique fashion trends on Main Street, or gear up with professional hunting, fishing, and paddling supplies before hitting the backcountry, our local storefronts offer a warm mountain welcome. Take a stroll through our historic plazas and forest-shrouded cabins to discover one-of-a-kind finds you simply won’t see anywhere else.
