Natural Arch Recreation Area

This easily accessible, breathtaking arch in the Daniel Boone National Forest is a must-see.

McCreary County is home to numerous natural arches and rock formations. Natural Arch Recreation Area is home to the most popular and accessible natural arch in McCreary county. The recreation area includes a concrete trail system, picnic sites, drinking fountains, playground, horseshoe pits, grill areas picnic shelters and amphitheater. The arch itself is an impressive rock shelter natural arch with a semi-circlular opening. It is 100 feet wide, 44 feet high and about 25  feet thick.
